2. Tommy Boy
The hit 19990’s American comedy starring Chris Farley and David Spade featured an odd couple paired for a road trip to sell brakes in a last-ditch effort to save their company. Spade’s character drives a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX which is becomes a character of the movie in its own rite. A series of bungled mishaps usually resulting from Farley’s antics puts the car through major damage, causing much agony for Spade’s character. By the film’s end the car is missing its convertible top, a door, and its hood. Like most odd couples, their exploits lead the characters to appreciate each other. It is unlikely if it could feel, the Belvedere would feel the same way after enduring such punishment.
