12. Lamborghini LM002
Launched at 1986, it came with 5.3 l V12, capable of developing 450 hp. The engine came from Lamborghini Countach, and it was meant to be a desert car, for the Middle East market, but in 1992 60 units were made only for the US market. This American version was a bit more luxurious, but the consumption was around 6 mpg. Luckily, the LM was fitted with a fuel tank of 76 gallons. What makes this car special is that it was created to be driven in the desert, but no one can really tell how well it could perform in other tricky conditions. However, at the time, it was the most powerful 4×4, capable of enduring very steep surfaces.
