GM is one of the top selling car brands world-wide for calendar year 2015. The well-established auto manufacturer saw a 5% improvement over the company’s 2014 sales with a total of 3,082,366 vehicles sold for the year. The total sales in December 2015 were 290,230, and GM captured 17.6% of market share for the year. Top auto models sold by the company for the year include the GMC Sierra pickup truck that sold 222,139 trucks this year for a 17.1% improvement over December sales for last year, and a 5.8% increase in sales for the year. Also included in GM sales figures for the year are sales for the Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac brands that are all owned by the parent company. The Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and Chevrolet Equinox was the top selling auto models from these brands with the Silverado seeing a total of 600,544 vehicles sold for the year.
