6. Fire Risk Recall- Chrysler Ram
Chrysler Ram reported issues in October according to the NHTSA. Affected vehicles include model year 2010-2014 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 trucks manufactured March 27, 2009, to September 5, 2013. The electrical connectors of the diesel fuel heater may overheat, causing it to leak fuel. This could potentially result in fire. Chrysler has stated that repairs involve upgrading wiring harness terminals and possibly improving housing for the fuel heater. According to Money online, Chrysler has received only two reports of overheating, but aren’t aware of any fires as a result of it.
