7. Hyundai Santa Fe
The Hyundai Santa Fe offers three rows of seats in a crossover SUV shell. With a 290 horsepower V-6 engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the Santa Fe has surprising acceleration. The transmission shifts smoothly from gear to gear, even under hard acceleration. This can lead to the Santa Fe sneaking up into the higher speeds before you realize it. Front wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. The Santa Fe has middle of the road handling, it’s not very sporty, but at the same time it isn’t cumbersome either. The suspension gives a comfortable, smooth ride along even some of the harsher roads. The Santa Fe even offers an additional tow package, which allows it to tow up to 5000 lbs.
