The Nissan Pathfinder has excellent fuel economy for the class, but the transmission tends to be a little loud. Some rival models offer greater cargo area than the 2015 Pathfinder. The base V6 engine provides plenty of power for the Pathfinder. This SUV is more fuel efficient than most of its competitors at 20/27 mpg city/highway. However, critics report that the automatic transmission tends to be noisy during heavy acceleration. The Nissan Pathfinder is not the most agile SUV in the midsize class when compared with rivals such as the Mazda CX-9, but steering is responsive and overall handling is controlled.

The interior of the 2015 Pathfinder is said to be “handsome” in design. The first- and second-row seating arrangements are roomy and comfortable for adults. Some reviewers stated that the third seating row may be a little snug for adult passengers, but others said there was plenty of space.
