7. Aston Martin DB5 1963-1965 United Kingdom
Designed by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the DB5 is probably Aston Martin’s most famous car. The luxury grand tourer was immortalized when it appeared as James Bond’s car, first appearing in Goldfinger. The car, which has appeared in six Bond films (including the most recent, Skyfall), has been called the most famous car in cinematic history. Smooth contours and the scooped out hood scream power, sophistication, and fun! It is easily one of the most beautiful cars ever designed–as if James Bond would drive anything but! The car was only produced for three years, making it a very coveted gem amongst collectors. First produced as a four-speed, the designed was soon upgraded for the new ZF five-speed transmission. Capable of reaching around 145mph, this car was much more than a pretty sight.
