The Corolla is a line of subcompact and compact cars produced by the Toyota Motor Company. In 1974, the Corolla became the best-selling car world-wide, and remains one of the best-selling models on the market to this day. In 2013 Toyota hit a milestone of over 40 million Corollas sold over eleven generations of continuous production. Its primary competitor is the Honda Civic. In total it is the highest-selling nameplate in automotive history. This reliable and incredibly affordable compact car has always been known for its dependability and amazing fuel efficiency. Newer Corollas are bigger, but are still a very efficient vehicles. Being the most purchased vehicle of all time, Corolla made Toyota an international giant.
