7. Lincoln Blackwood
(2001–02)
The Lincoln Blackwood was one of the big let downs for auto drivers who started to see some big changes from auto manufacturers in the cross over market in the early 2000s. The Blackwood was Lincoln’s attempt to produce a luxury pickup truck. The vehicle looks similar to the more popular F-150 with crew cab, but drives similar to a Lincoln. The cargo box was not popular with consumers either, as it came with carpet and stainless steel lining making it functionally difficult to use without dirtying up the area of the truck. The truck also came with a bed cover that is power operated to open to a 45 degree angel with wood-designed vinyl on the sides of the truck bed. With the extremely high price point at the time of more than $50,000 USD and it’s easy to see why the Blackwood was such a disappointment to the public.
