14. Gumpert Apollo
Top speed: 220 MPH
The Gumpert Apollo is a German sports car that entered production in late summer of 2012 featuring gull wing doors. The auto was first debuted at the Geneva Motor Show, and it is both street legal and track appropriate. Research for the vehicle started in the early 2000s, and the Technical Unversity of Munich and the Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences assisted with the design, construction, simulations, and wind tunnel tests for the vehicle. The car is powered by a 4.2 liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that is coupled to a six-speed sequential manual transmission. The overall top speed of the car is 220 MPH making it one of the fastest cars with gull wing doors ever.
