10. Navigation Package
Over the past decade, it has become increasingly rare for auto owners to not use a GPS or navigation package in their automobiles. As a result, selling a built-in navigation package to new auto owners has become a relatively new money maker for the dealerships. For the majority of auto owners, the use of one’s mobile phone or a store-bought GPS will not only deliver the same quality navigation service, but often will be easier to update to include changes or additions to the roadways in one’s local area. In exchange for dealing with the minor inconvenience of not having the GPS displayed on the dashboard of the auto, new car buyers can save upwards of $1000 by sticking with third-party navigation options for use in the automobile.
