As technology grows more and more, the car industry needs to keep pace so vehicles can work in unison with all the new gadgets that are created. One thing that some cars are coming equipped with that all cars should have is USB ports. So many devices nowadays are powered or charged by a USB port and installing them in cars removes the need for a specialty charger that plugs into the ancient technology that is the cigarette lighter. From phones to music players to some GPS systems, USB is becoming the standard for charging. The added benefit is that while used for charging USB is meant for data transfer and in certain cars things that are plugged into the USB ports can be operated or have their data viewed by the media screen built into the dash.
