7. Backup Camera

Usually, when backing-up we must rely on the side-view mirrors and the rearview mirror, but we still have blind spots behind us and we can’t see anything on the ground shorter than the car. Enter the backup camera. This device activates as soon as you place the car in reverse and shows you everything directly behind your vehicle on a small screen in the dashboard. Some even have range markers and an assist image showing you where the car will end up based on the direction you turn the wheel; making parallel parking and backing into a spot incredibly easy. A little beeper will sound if you get too close to something as well, so even if you’re unsure about the distance you have a safety net. Even with this system you should still always check your mirrors, the backup camera will show you what’s directly behind you but it has a limited field of view as far as what is to the left or right.
