8. Scion FRS / Subaru BRZ (Toyota 86)
This entry has both the Scion FRS and the Subaru BRZ because the vehicles are the same car originally dubbed the Toyota 86. The vehicle is a joint design effort from Toyota and Subaru to tap into the affordable sports car market. At first sales were great as enthusiasts couldn’t wait to get their hands on the vehicle, but over time sales dropped through the floor. The Scion badged vehicle sold 14,062 units in 2014, while the Subaru model only sold 7,504. The FRS/BRZ is a great vehicle, with a tight suspension, quick 4-cylinder engine, and eye catching style. There are some areas where it could use some improvement, but for the price this is a great sports car undeserving of low sales numbers.
