6. Subaru BRZ
Powered by a 200 horsepower, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, the Subaru BRZ is a sleek, sporty car.
The available transmissions are either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The automatic lags a bit when shifting, making the manual a superior choice. The suspension is terrific, with a low center of gravity, sharp steering, and balanced chassis. The BRZ can corner at high speeds with little complaint, and rough roads feel smooth. Gas mileage is comparable to others in its class, with 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. The BRZ comes standard with a navigation system with a 6.1-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, and a USB port. Proximity key, push-button start, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control are optional.
