When money isn’t an option and you want the closest thing to a rocket ship on four tires that you can buy, the McLaren P1 is your car. If hypercars were superheroes, the P1 would be Superman. This beautiful piece of machinery is powered by a 903 horsepower gas/electric hybrid engine. The gas side is a 3.8 liter 727 horsepower V-8 and the electric motor side is a 177 horsepower engine. The suspension is hydro-pneumatic, allowing it to perform better than most anything on the road, and the rear wing has the ability to extend up to 12 inches to give you the needed downforce to stay on the pavement. Calling the exterior beautiful doesn’t do this car justice, it’s art on wheels. The curves and angles of the P1 make it stand out even among the other hypercars. This truly is one of the best cars of the year, possibly one of the best cars built ever.
