23. Lexus LF-FC Hydrogen Car
Lexus is continuing its trend of placing hydrogen fuel-cell technology higher on the priority list than pure electric cars with the new LF-LC Hydrogen car. Lexus parent company Toyota launched their Mirai fuel-cell vehicle and Lexus seems to be following suit. The LF-LC concept is powered by a fuel-cell stack that sends power to the rear wheels and two in-wheel electric motors power the front. The styling is aggressive with a large chain-link looking grille that is inches away from covering the entire front bumper and sharp angles that give the vehicle an angry look. While the exterior of the concept can be seen in person, the powertrain remains theoretical, but Lexus is shooting for a 2020 release for their fuel-cell project.
