7. Honda Ridgeline

Honda redesigned the Ridgeline after sales were less than desired for the old model. Honda again goes against the trend with their new Ridgeline, basing the trunk on an SUV platform rather than the traditional heavy-duty body on frame design used on trucks. The unibody construction and independant suspension promises to give better handling and a better overall ride feel. The Ridgeline may not be built like a truck, but Honda certainly styled it to look like a truck, even going so far as to make a seam between the cab and the bed. The seam serves no purpose other than to give the Ridgeline a truck look, as the cab and bed are not independent of one another. Another bright spot for the Ridgeline is the towing capacity, Honda claims a 7,000-lb capacity on the newly designed vehicle.
