The Mercedes-Benz R63 AMG suffered from a bit of an identity crisis. The dramatically styled crossover was more minivan than SUV, the over $80,000 starting price put it out of reach of the average buyer, and the engine had the power of a high end sports car. Under the hood of this odd machine was a 507 horsepower all-wheel drive powerhouse that was able to reach 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. Mercedes only made the R63 for one year, making it rare and sought after by tuning enthusiasts. The large size and weird styling make it an ideal sleeper. Pulling up next to this vehicle you would assume it was a slow soccer mom vehicle, and that mistake would leave you choking on the R63’s dust.
