5. 2003 Volkswagen Passat W8 4Motion
The Volkswagen Passat W8 4Motion had the shortest lifespan of any Passat model, but it was the most powerful. Under the hood of this seemingly boring sedan slept a monster. Two V4 cylinder blocks joined together to make a W, producing 270 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The 4Motion all-wheel drive system gave the Passat W8 great launch capability, so you could really surprise people off the line. The Passat W8 was able to hit 60 mph in under 7 seconds, if you had a manual transmission and some skill you could get that number a little lower. The rarity of the W8 Passat makes it desirable to VW fans, and its plain looks make it an excellent sleeper.
