There are three main engine types available with the car when buying it new to include the 3.7 liter six cylinder rated at 300 horsepower, the 2.3 liter turbo four cylinder rated at 310 horsepower, and the 5.0 liter V-8 rated at 435 horsepower. All of the engine types come with both a six-speed automatic or manual transmission, and an independent rear suspension to improve the car’s ability to corner and its overall ride. The Mustang’s fuel efficiency is rated at 15 MPG (city) and 25 MPG (highway). It can also go from zero to 60 MPH in 4.5 seconds with a top overall speed of 164 MPH.
