The Boss 429 1969 Ford Mustang was the most expensive variant of the car produced by Ford in the late 1960s not associated with Shelby, and it is one of the most amazing vintage cars around today. The car is powered by the semi-hemi 429 engine and made a name for itself with its long-distance racing capabilities and overall smooth handling. The Boss 429 saw an above average production run by the manufacturer in 1969 with a total of 857 being produced, and there were a total of 499 made the following model year. The car’s engine is rated at 450 ft-lb of torque and 375 total horsepower. The Boss 429 could also go from zero to 60 MPH in 5.3 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 12.3 seconds at 112 MPH when new.
