The GMC Savana is tied for second place as being the most American made car on the market according the Kogod index. The Savana loses points for having interior and chassis components manufactured overseas and the transmission not being produced in the United States. The auto scored an overall 83 on the Kogod index and is the first of a number of GMC entries in the top 10 of most American made cars this year. The auto features a 4.8 liter, eight cylinder engine that is rated at 285 bhp and is capable of hauling up to 12 passengers in the van.
