On May 25, 2013, a 1953 Ferrari 340/375 MM Berlinetta ‘Competizione’ was sold for $12,812,800 at RM Auctions in Lazio, Italy. The sale made the auto one of the most expensive cars sold at auction. The car is powered by a 4,494 cc overhead camshaft V-12 engine rated at 340 bhp and is supported by triple Weber 40 IF/4C carburetors, an independent front suspension with transverse leaf springs, four-speed manual gearbox, and four-wheel drum brakes.
