The 1961 Jaguar E-Type is one of our 17 most favorite classic cars of all time. The auto is known as being one of the most iconic sports cars ever produced, and it features rear-wheel drive, a front-engine design style, and can seat two passengers. The British sports car was sold in both the U.K. as well as on the North American market, and the E-Type featured pinion steering, a zero to 60 MPH time of just under 7.0 seconds, and a top overall speed of 150 MPH. The car was based on the Jaguar race car, the Type D, and the stock engine is rated at 265 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque, and is coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. The car could run the quarter-mile when new in just 15.5 seconds, and can go from zero to 100 MPH in 18.2 seconds.
