Top speed: 137 MPH
The 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T is another of our favorite classic cars. The second generation of the highly popular American Auto was produced between 1969 and 1974, and it was featured in the 1971 feature, “Vanishing Point.” The third generation of the auto started production in 2008, successfully bridging the Challenger across more than five decades of consumer. The 1970 Challenger was assembled in both Hamtramck, Michigan and Los Angeles, CA, and was available as both a two-door convertible and two-door hard top body style. The car is powered by a number of engines ranging from the 3.69 liter Slant V-7 to the 7.2 Liter RB V-8. The most popular transmissions for the auto were the three-speed and four-speed manual transmission.
