7. 1992-1995 Dodge Viper
Top speed: 180 MPH
The first generation of the Dodge Viper was produced between 1992-1995, and it is one of our 17 favorite classic cars. The V-10 powered automobile was the first generation of the popular sports car that remains in production to this day. Tom Gale is the designer of the first generation of the two-door roadster, and the auto is powered by an odd firing 8.0 liter Viper V-10 engine. The engine is rated at 400 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, and it has a top overall speed of 180 MPH. The car was sold standard with a six-speed manual transmission, and the overall curb weight of the vehicle is 3,284 lbs. The first pre-production models of the Viper were used as pace cars at the 1991 Indianapolis 500, and the car can go from zero to 60 MPH in just 4.5 seconds. For the quarter-mile, the auto could reach 113.8 MPH while running the track in just 12.9 seconds.
