8. 1963 Corvette Sting Ray

The 1963 Corvette Sting Ray is not only one of the coolest Corvettes of all time, but also one of our favorite classic cars. The 1963 Sting Ray featured drastically improved handling capability, and it was also a much lighter automobile compared to the 1962 edition of the vehicle helping improve its acceleration even further. The convertible edition of the vehicle was significantly more popular than the coupe edition, and all of the autos produced during the model year came with the 327cid engine rated at 250 horsepower. There were also options available to upgrade the engine to a 300 or a 360 horsepower option. The most powerful engine available for the vehicle is the 327 cid V-8 rated at 360 horsepower. Also new for the 1963 model year was the optional electronic ignition system for the automobile.
