9. 1963 Ford GT/GT40
Top speed: 200 MPH
The 1963 Ford GT/GT40 is one of the most popular classic cars of all time. The iconic sports car won Le Mans multiple times, and it is one of the most collectible race cars of the post-WW2 era in the United States. The Ford Motor Company teamed up with British race car manufacturer Lola to develop a 4.2 liter mid-engine V-8 engine for the GT-40. The car can exceed 200 MPH and remained the primary engine until Shelby changed it out in 1968 to a 4.7 liter V-8 engine. The GT40 would go on to win a number of major races in the later portion of the 1960s, and it is one of the most collectible Ford automobiles found today.
