Scion TC Offers Sturdy Engineering and Minimalist Design

This car is a standard-featured, non-frill design. Yet despite its basic minimalist features and options and lack of a rearview camera or frontal crash preventative equipment, this car has quality engineering. The 2016 Scion TC wins a five-star rating from the NHTSA as well as a top-level safety score from the IIHS due to its sound, protective body design. This new model offers good airbag protection—front-side, dual front and side. In acceleration testing, the TC clocked in at 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. Although this time falls behind the record set by the Honda Civic Si Coupe of just 6.4 seconds, the TC acceleration time did beat out that of the Kia Forte Koup—7.1 seconds.
