Subaru vehicles have the reputation for being dependable and long-lasting. That’s why they have some of the best depreciation numbers out there. They don’t really go down in value very much. They can be safe vehicles too. In fact, the Subaru Forester is another small SUV that has received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s top rating of 2016 Top Safety Pick.
That’s because the Forester has been given top ratings for all crash test areas, including small and moderate overlap front, side impact, roof strength, seat safety, and head restraints. In addition, the Subaru comes with a number of extra safety features available, giving it a superior ranking in front crash prevention. There is only area where the Forester suffers, receiving only marginal ratings in child seat anchor ease of use. However, that hardly drops the small SUV in safety ratings.
