1. McLaren P1
The king of the supercars, the McLaren P1 stands tall with its exquisite design, incredible power, and hefty price tag. Unfortunately for those with $1.1 million dollars to spend, McLaren already sold the 375 models that were built. Under the hood the P1 houses a twin turbo 3.8 liter 727 hp engine coupled with a 177 hp electric motor that combined put out 903 hp, and produces a top speed of 217mph, reaching 60mph in 2.7 seconds. While not the fastest of the super cars, the P1’s hydro-pneumatic suspension, rear wing extending close to 12 inches, and an electro-hydraulically assisted steering allows it to outperform its rivals when roaring around the track. With multiple driver-selectable programs (e-mode, normal, sport, track and race), you’re not without options when driving. Race mode drops the body two inches and raises the wing close to a foot off the body, although in this setting the P1 is no longer street legal. The cockpit is decked in carbon fiber with firm seats and a no nonsense dash. The P1 lives up to the McLaren reputation of making the world’s greatest supercars.
