9. Subaru Outback

The Subaru Outback has been a popular wagon for consumers for more than 10 years and is one of the top used cars available for purchase. The 2005 to 2009 edition of the wagon was sold with a choice of either a manual or automatic transmission. Subaru also include three choices of engine type in these model years to include a V-4 rated at 170 horsepower, a turbocharged V-4 rated at 243 horsepower, and a V-6 rated at 245 horsepower. Starting in 2010, the company expanded the total amount of passenger and cargo room, but dropped the turbocharged V-4 as an option. The Outback’s fuel efficiency is rated at 20 MPG (city) and 27 MPG (highway) with a top overall speed of 139 MPH.
