Despite the large number of Camaros produced since it was first built, the 1969 Camaro ZL1 remains one of the fastest ever produced. The car can run the quarter-mile in 12.76 seconds at 107 MPH, and there were only 69 of the automobiles ever produced. The car is powered by a 427 V-8 engine rated at 430 horsepower. The car also has the distinction of being the first production engine produced by Chevrolet to have an aluminum block and has an overall weight of just 500 lbs.
