The 1997 SLP Camaro SS started out as a stock model of the 1997 Z28 edition of the car, and SLP performed some major modifications in order to make it one of the fastest Camaros of all time. The car runs the quarter-mile in 13.20 seconds at 108.8 MPH. The car is powered by a LT4 V-8 engine rated at 330 horsepower. The car was produced with a six-speed manual transmission, and Chevy only had a limited number of the autos converted by SLP from the model year making it attractive to car collectors as the model year nears and exceeds 20 years of age.
