Total deaths per millions vehicles: 149
The Kia Rio has the highest overall number of driver deaths per million registered owners at 149 making it one of the most deadly cars on the road today. Of these deaths, 96 came from multiple vehicle crashes with 15 from single-vehicle rollovers. Prior to the major update of the model for the 2012 model year, the car performed below average on just about every crash test out there. Since that time, the company has significantly improved the safety features of the auto making owners of newer-year models feel a bit safer than those who own a more ‘experienced’ edition of the automobile.
