15. BMW Lovos

The BMW Lovos odd design is one that car fans do not quickly forget after viewing the automobile. Designed by Ann Forschner, the concept of her design was to bring attention to the form of the auto to encourage fans or viewers of the car to escape from their concept of norms and conforming. When the doors are shut on this car, it gives the appearance of fish scales, and when the doors are open a very strange look. There are more than 250 identical components in the vehicle that are interchangeable with most of these being used to form the fish scales on the car. When the scales are in the open position, they are designed to function as air breaks. There are 12 scales used to cover each wheel on the car, and when the car is driven they are designed to retract.
