2. 2001 BMW GINA Light Visionary Model
The 2001 BMW GINA Light Visionary Model concept car was created by BMW design director Chris Bangle. For German auto fans, the auto is one of the oddest that you will have seen with Bangle going against the traditional German design hallmarks by using very chunky body parts and hard geometry angles in the car’s design. He also took further design liberties by covering the auto’s exterior with polyurethane-coated spandex that was designed to shift to help meet the car’s aerodynamic requirements at the time. When the auto is in park, the steering wheel and other instruments move to an idle position located on the center console of the vehicle in order to give the driver easier access to get into the car.
