13. Subaru Forester
Subaru is a company whose niche appeal leads to big returns in the aftermarket. Unlike the WRX that we mentioned earlier, the Forrester doesn’t have quite the unusual appeal that some other Subaru models like the WRX or the Impreza have, but it still manages to retain a three-year sale value of just over 59 percent.
The Forrester appeals to a much narrower market. In primary sales that’s a bad thing, but in the used market that means you’re selling the vehicle to a specific group of people who know and love the car. People who desire something smaller than an SUV want the Forrester. Subaru’s legendary all-wheel drive capability leads folks to keep the Forrester a perennial favorite in its class within the used vehicle market.
