The Tata Nano is designed to be an extremely affordable city car that does not have many amenities in order to keep the cost down. Originally only sold in India for a starting price of $2,500 USD equivalent, the auto manufacturer went out of their way to deliver an affordable vehicle to the public. The target market for the vehicle is the motorcycle and moped drier who is looking for an affordable ride with four wheels. The company has not made the car available for sale in the United States since it is not street legal, but the company is looking to release the second generation of the auto soon; albeit, at a higher price in order to meet U.S. safety regulations. The auto is powered by a 624 cc, two-cylinder engine, and its top overall speed is 65 MPH.
