The Lancia Delta is a popular Italian automobile that is not available for sale in the U.S. It is a small family car that has been in production since 1979 and seen three major generations in design of the auto. The automobile was first debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1979, and saw its production life run through 2014. The five-door hatchback features front-wheel drive and a front-engine layout with several models of turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines sold with the vehicle ranging from a 1.4 liter turbo gasoline-powered engine to a 2.0 liter Multijet I4 turbo-diesel. Lancia sells the car with both a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission.
