13. Smart Fortwo Cabrio (2016)

The Smart Fortwo Cabrio was one of the worst cars at the 2016 Detroit auto show, but not necessarily because it was a bad car. Smart didn’t bring anything new to the table with this iteration of their tiny car outside of making it into a convertible, which seems incredibly dangerous considering how little the vehicle is to begin with. Most other car manufacturers were showing off new concepts or new technology, while the Smart Fortwo was nothing more than the same car already on the market with the room chopped off. With public interest in microcars waning, Smart needs something new to get their brand to take off again. Hopefully next time Smart brings a vehicle to the auto show to present to the world, they will put a little more effort into their presentation.
