Miata is a beautiful, small, simple and affordable sports car. This little convertible included everything that made some classic roadsters so enjoyable: communicative handling, a light chassis, a small but perky motor and an appealing, smart-looking exterior. Mazda took all that, though, and added one thing that some other small cars (like the MGB for example) sorely lacked: reliability. Miata was as reliable as other modern Japanese cars. Repairs and maintenance were infrequent and affordable.
