13. Shelby Super Cars Ultimate Aero

SSC Ultimate Aero is the product of the company that was once Shelby Super Cars. Until the Bugatti Veyron arrived, SSC Ultimate Aero was the world’s fastest production car. It accelerates to 60 mph in 2.78 seconds and can reach the top speed of nearly 250 mph. Exotic styling is part of the Ultimate Aero aerodynamic design, and the car is equally amazing on the inside: an eight-cylinder, 6,300-cc, 1,046-horsepower, twin-turbocharged engine.

Carbon fiber and titanium materials were used to limit its weight to 2,850 pounds. SSC Ultimate Aero has no electronic antilock braking or traction control system. Production ended in 2013 after a seven-year run.
