The KX 450F is powered by a 449cc 4-stroke engine that has 4-valves, is liquid-cooled, DOHC, and has a single cylinder. The bore is 96 inches and stroke length 62.1 inches making it oversquare delivering more power than equivalent engines with a smaller bore size.
