GMC designed the Canyon to complement the Colorado. The truck includes a large number of convenience features for drivers who have grown up driving SUVs, and gives customers the choice between a five or six foot truck bed and either a crew or extended cab. The four cylinder, 200 horsepower engine comes stock with the auto with the option to upgrade to a 305 horsepower, six cylinder engine with 7,000 lb towing package for those who need to haul a boat or trailer with their truck. The Canyon sees a nice 24 MPG (highway) fuel economy, and it can go from zero to 60 MPH in 7.6 seconds while sporting a 99 MPH top speed. On the negative front, the truck is not considered parking lot friendly for those who live in the city, and it has been known to suffer from greater than normal wind noise in the truck cabin at high speeds.
